Healing through art and empowerment
On April 23, 2025, the Regina Breast Health Centre opened its doors to welcome patients into a space designed for care, strength and healing.
A highlight of the centre is a permanent photo display by the late Elisha Weger, a Regina photographer and devoted mother of three, who launched the Breast Cancer Empowerment Project during her own treatment. She created this body of work to celebrate the strength and beauty of women navigating their health‑care journeys.
Sadly, Elisha passed away in December 2022, just seven weeks after the project photo shoot. With support from Inpower Breast Cancer Support Group and her loved ones, Elisha’s project was completed and unveiled in 2023.
Today, her striking portraits grace the centre’s walls, offering comfort and empowerment.
Elisha’s legacy is a gentle reminder of community, resilience and the unexpected beauty that can emerge during life’s most challenging chapters.
