Full access to RGH parkade returning late August
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) will re-open the 13th Avenue entrance to the Regina General Hospital (RGH) parkade in late August.
Previous construction on 13th Avenue has been completed, but a new SaskEnergy project will begin soon, resulting in the temporary closure of 13th Avenue and St. John Street from August 11 to August 22. During this time, access to the RGH parkade will continue to be limited to the 14th Avenue entrance only.
The road construction earlier this spring led to the initial temporary closure of the 13th Avenue entrance. The patience and cooperation of patients, visitors and staff helped reduce issues with traffic flow at RGH. The SHA thanks the City of Regina for their support in minimizing the disruption to hospital.
While this SaskEnergy project is taking place, the City of Regina’s construction project has advanced to Phase Three between Montreal and Winnipeg Street. Drivers should continue planning for potential delays, consider alternate routes for travelling around RGH, and pay attention to construction zone signage.
