In-Scope Performance Review Program
A standardized provincial in-scope performance review form has been developed in MyConnection, and is to be completed annually for all permanent and temporary full-time and part-time in-scope employees whose primary position is within the department.
Performance reviews provide a platform for meaningful two-way conversations between employees and Managers/Supervisors to:
- Discuss individual performance based on demonstration of the SHA CARES Values in everyday work,
- Help individuals understand their strengths and their valued areas of contribution
- Identify opportunities for learning and growth.
Why are we conducting performance reviews now?
- Employees thrive on feedback. Regular performance discussions show employees they are valued and help build trusting relationships.
- Employees are requesting it. In the 2023 SCORE Survey, 60% of employees expressed a need for more frequent feedback from their Manager/Supervisor.
- It is a standard of excellence. Conducting in-scope performance reviews is a requirement of Accreditation Canada and supports a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
