"Growing the Nurses of Tomorrow"

This course is intended for current, future or previous preceptors and is delivered in real time by a facilitator virtually. 

• Basic tasks/responsibilities of precepting a student
• Focuses on the “adult learner” and is divided into three phases (majority of time during the workshop)
• Importance of a solid orientation, setting the stage for effective communication, feedback and troubleshooting
• Expected behaviour for fourth-year adult nursing students - providing suggestions for feedback, actions by the preceptor, and understanding when additional assistance is required
• Equity, diversity, and Inclusion in Education/Health Care settings
• Effective evaluation, what should be included and when evaluation should take place.
