Childminding centre helps care for the whole family
A child getting care in the hospital is difficult for parents and guardians, especially when there are other children at home who also need care.
Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital (JPCH)’s Childminding Centre helps families in this position.
The Childminding Centre, which receives financial support from the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, can provide a safe, supervised environment for children aged 18 months to 12 years, as well as children with special needs up to 14 years old.
The centre allows parents to focus on the child needing medical care, knowing their other children are in a secure and supportive setting, and having fun. This support promotes the well-being of all children involved.
More information on the JPCH Childminding Centre can be found on the Mom and Kids Health Saskatchewan website.
The centre’s compassionate support is an example of the SHA’s CARES values in action.
